This is the most current revision ignition switch for many GM vehicles, including '02-'09 Trailblazers, Envoys, and other GMT-360 platforms. The original switch is notorious for failing, so I changed mine preemptively at 70k miles. Hopefully the new revision is better...

If you own a Chevy Trailblazer or GMC Envoy you need this switch if the original one in your teuck has never been changed. When this switch fails while driving the truck will stop after a few audible chimes. In addition, the gear shift lever will become stuck in the drive position and you will not be able to get it into neutral and the key will be stuck in the ignition. If the event none of this happens to you as it did to me about 150 miles from home your HVAC motor might stop and the ABS light comes on. Do yourself a favor, buy this thing, than watch the video on you tube on how to change the little rascal. The video is there just type in Trailblazer ignition switch. Actually, it is an ignition relay but type in switch. Oh, be sure to watch the ENTIRE video as you will have to set the teeth on the new one to the one your taking out but don't worry it is not hard.

Bought this product after reading a review stating this is the current improved version of the original ignition switch by GM. Install was simple and straightforward, so far so good. I will post in future if or when it fails me.
