Does not fit all spark plug sizes

Im certain this device will work great when used with typical spark plugs of 14mm+, but did not fit onto my 12mm yamaha motorcycle spark plugs. Fortunately I read about a method of simply grounding a spark plug to the engine block, outside of the cylinder, and cranking the engine. This shows you a spark (or lack there of) in plain sight, and for free!

time saver

Had a lot of trouble working on my outboard motor. It's difficult to pull the crank start rope and at the same time try to hold a spark plug (one of two} against the motor ground trying to check if there is a spark. After buying the spark plug and wire tester (that I should have bought before} was a breeze to test for spark. It immediately identified a problem with spark or fuel. It is a tool that I think most mechanics should have in their tool kits. It's worth every penny and I highly recommend this tester from Amazon.CharlotteNC
